Former carpenter, Dave Jamieson, became head custodian at Belleville’s Calvary Temple where he had been a member since 1973. Jamieson says the best part of his day is talking to people who visit the church. “And I enjoy repairing stuff ‘cause that was my nature,” says Jamieson.
He and his wife Cathy are raising $8,000 to fund a three-week journey to Zambia this October. There they will apply their skill-sets toward the construction of a home with Village of Hope. “It’s something that we’ve wanted to do for a long time, to stretch ourselves and challenge our life,” says Jamieson.
