Canadian Forces CF-18 Hornet pilot Capt. Renato Duarte, stationed in Cold Lake, Alta., stopped for a visit at Waterloo International Airport on Sunday. Duarte who grew up in Cambridge, Ont. spent the night to refuel and visit family and friends en route to CFB Bagotville in Quebec where the fighter jet is scheduled for maintenance.
